The First Algerian Night Held at EMu

The Algerian students in Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and across any institution in Northern Cyprus have never had an eventful celebration like that of the night of Saturday, 12 May 2018. And on this date, EMU, as usual, was opportune to host the First Algerian Night in the university and in Northern Cyprus at Raul Raif Denktas Cultural Congress Center.

 

With about 200 people in attendance, the program started at about 20:30 with the observance of one-minute silence in honour of the uniform men and total of 257 people that were killed in a plane crash on April 11, 2018. Thereafter, the national anthem of Algeria was first observed before the Turkish. Shortly after, the President of the Algerian Students' Society, ABDELHAKIM BETTAYEB calmly welcome all to the night's gathering.

 

A good number of guest present and specifically the Arabian friends showed great excitement with their Algerian friends as the guest artistes-Yasmine Belkacem and Islam Bernaoui walk up to the stage. Their song rendition followed a short video on "why you would not want to visit Algeria" was played which ironically depict the beauty of Algeria that's make visiting Algeria unavoidable. 

 

 

Adding to the night's glamour was the very informative and comic drama presentation. As the event drew to a close, awards were presented to the guest artists before their last electrifying performance of the night and certificate of academic excellence were also handed to high honours Algerian students.

it's certain that greater expectation inhibits in the coming year's event.
