University (EMU) Student Affairs Directorate issued a statement concerning the
effectuated academic amnesty published in the Turkish Republic of Northern
Cyprus (TRNC) official gazette on October 12th, 2018. In the
statement, it was specified that the (Provisional Regulation) (Amendment) law,
active under the 65/2005 TRNC Higher Education legislation, allowing the
students who were disengaged to continue their education was enforced. The
statement included the following: “In these conditions, all students from
orientation, associate programmes, bachelors completion (DGS) and undergraduate
students, including EMU preparatory school must turn in their application to
the Student Affairs Directorate by January 31st,
2019: Students who were willingly cleared and/or were to receive clearance by
October 1st, 2018, students who got long-term suspension
and/or were subjected to heavy disciplinary penalties and other students
cleared for various reasons (excepting the Faculty of Medicine students transferred
to Ankara University).
Detailed Information Available
Students who wish to resume their education must submit
their application to EMU Student Affairs by January 31st, 2019. Detailed
