EMU Successfully Held “Social Media and Brand Week’19”

The Eastern Mediterranean University’s (EMU) “Social Media and Brand Week’19” organized by the Social Media Unit in collaboration with the Faculty of Communication came to an end after the second day presentations which took place at the Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall on Thursday, the 4th of April 2019. The experts who delivered presentations on day two of the event included Creditwest Bank CEO Mazher Zaheer, SP Branding and Management Founder Selin Persentili, Maxfield & Parrish,INC. Founder Eren Yağmuroğlu, Political Campaign Managers Atıf Müezzinler and Ömer Yetkinel and Renault Mais Turkey CEO Dr. Berk Çağdaş. Following the presentations, EMU Faculty of Communication Academic Staff Member / Institutional Communication and Social Media Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Raziye Nevzat delivered plaques of appreciation to the speakers.

The Future of the Sector Was Discussed

Focusing on the aspects of social media and marketing, the event previously hosted experts from Coca-Cola, Hepsiburada, Sony and Arçelik. This year’s event hosted not only social media experts but also political campaign managers, digital identity managers and experts of platforms that appeal to masses such as Netflix and Akustikhane in order to follow digital trends and local consumer habits.

EMU Social Media and Brand Week’ 19 appealed to anyone interested in working or specializing in these fields as well as people who want to follow current sectoral developments as to identify fields that have future potential.
