Palestinian Cultural Night In EMU

The vice rector international affairs and promotion, Professor Cem Tanova has urged Palestinian students at the Eastern Mediterranean University, to always see themselves as agents of positive change in their nation. Professor Tanova stated this on Saturday 29th April 2017 during the 2017 Palestinian Night held Cultural Centre. 

While welcoming the participants to the event, Professor Tanova commended the students for their comportment in the University while urging them to always be in their best form. The event which was organised in order to celebrate the Palestinian cultural heritage commenced with a cocktail to entertain the guests.  

In his remarks, a Palestinian war photographer, Mr. Alan Badarneh enumerated the effects of the challenges the country is facing including the war which he stated was a major set back to the peace, progress and development of the region. He called for solidarity and unity among Palestinians globally stating that it is the panacea to growth. The event witnessed a large of Palestine students and the EMU community featured lots of activities and entertaining activities.
